Social Programme announced

We cherish the idea that the best discussions take place when people are relaxed and know each other. Therefore we welcome you all to meet other participants in a laid-back environment already before the seminar. Check out the details from the social programme.

Full Paper Deadline Postponed

Due to several requests, we have postponed the deadline for full papers until the end of this week, that is, to Sunday the 15th of March. We want to thank everyone who submitted full papers already, and hope to see many more great papers before the end of the week.

We will distribute the papers on Monday the 16th so that everyone can have sufficient time to look at them before the seminar. The papers will only be distributed to the participants of the seminar.

(At least for our team at NRC this early spring has been packed with conference deadlines. Hopefully it does not mean a long dry spell afterwards.)

Non-Speaker Registration Open

In addition to the 25-or-so speakers, organizers and commentators, we now also accept registrations for other seminar attendees. As the seminar papers are only published to attendees, and as much of the focus of the seminar is in the networking and discussions, make sure to sign up early.

Participation is free but limited; we want to keep the event small in order to enable best possible discussions. If we run out of seats, we may have to prioritize collaborators and such, so please attach a line or two regarding your interests in this area. Register through sending an email to playfulexp(a)gmail.com.

Please remember that you get the most out of this seminar if you peruse the papers in advance.

The seminar programme has also now been published (see the list of pages, in the top right sidebar).

Paper Template

Here’s a template you can use when submitting your paper. Alternatively, you can also submit your paper in any usual conference/journal format of your choosing.

(Please excuse us for only providing a .doc template. For some reason WordPress doesn’t allow .rtf uploads.)

Notifications Sent!

All authors should now have received notifications on whether their abstracts have been accepted or not. If you haven’t received an email, please contact us as soon as possible.

As you remember, full papers are not subjected to review as the focus of the seminar is in discussing the papers rather than in presenting final results.

We received 24 proposals and accepted 16 of them, giving us a 67% acceptance rate.

Please keep your eyes on this blog, we will add practical data and suggested paper templates here in near future.

Reviewing the Abstracts

We received 24 very interesting extended abstracts before the deadline. The review board will read, review and comment them as soon as possible. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by the end of January, as planned.
